Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 9, 2026  ·  Last Revised: July 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Dyno Development, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company doing business as Verified Franchise Resales (“VFR,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the website located at www.verifiedfranchiseresales.com and all related services (collectively, the “Service”).

This Policy is incorporated into, and forms part of, our Terms of Use. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.

The Service is intended for business use by individuals 18 years of age or older. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18. See Section 9 (Children’s Privacy) below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information we receive from third parties.

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account and Contact Information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, company or brokerage name, job title, and login credentials.
  • Business Contact Information: for Brokers, Franchisors, vendors, advertisers, and other business users, professional or business contact information such as brokerage name, franchisor name, vendor name, business email, business phone number, and related account or profile information, used for account administration, listing management, broker and franchisor profiles, advertising, partnership communications, and marketplace operations.
  • Listing Information: business name and location, franchise brand, asking price, financial figures, business descriptions, photographs, and other content you submit in connection with a Listing.
  • Broker and Licensing Information: license numbers, license states, listing agreements, or other documentation you provide to support a Broker representation under our Terms of Use.
  • Buyer Qualification Information: information you choose to provide when submitting an inquiry, buyer form, financing request, or account profile, such as available capital, approximate net worth, acquisition budget, financing needs, preferred markets or franchise categories, purchase timeline, business background, and other information relevant to evaluating or responding to your inquiry.
  • Inquiry and Communication Information: messages, inquiries, or other communications you send through the Service, including buyer inquiries directed to Sellers, Brokers, Franchisors, or vendors.
  • Payment Information: billing name, billing address, and related transaction details. Full payment card numbers are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems. See Section 4 (Payment Processing).
  • Communications with Us: information you provide when you contact customer support, respond to a survey, or otherwise communicate with us directly.
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, full bank account numbers, full tax returns, full personal financial statements, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, health information, passwords, or other highly sensitive personal information through general website forms unless we specifically request it through a secure process.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and Usage Information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits.
  • Approximate Location Information: general geographic location inferred from your IP address (we do not collect precise GPS location).
  • Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies: we and our service providers and advertising partners use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, server-side event tracking, hashed identifiers, and similar technologies to recognize your browser, remember preferences, understand how the Service is used, and measure advertising performance. See Section 5 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies).

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Sellers, Brokers, and Franchisors who submit information about a Listing, which may include information about you if you are identified as a contact for that Listing.
  • Service providers who help us operate the Service (for example, our hosting, authentication, analytics, advertising, and payment processing providers), who may provide us with information collected on our behalf.
  • Publicly available sources, such as public business records, where relevant to confirming basic Listing information as described in our Terms of Use.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including creating and managing Accounts, publishing Listings, and performing the Listing review described in our Terms of Use;
  • transmit buyer inquiries to the relevant Seller, Broker, Franchisor, or other party associated with a Listing or request, and facilitate communication between users in connection with a Listing;
  • connect you with financing companies, lenders, attorneys, accountants, insurance providers, franchise consultants, due diligence providers, advertisers, sponsors, or other third-party service providers when you request to be connected with them;
  • process payments, manage Subscriptions, and send billing-related communications;
  • communicate with you about your Account, respond to support requests, and send Service-related notices (including changes to our Terms of Use or this Policy);
  • send marketing communications about new features, Listings, or promotions, where permitted by law and subject to your opt-out rights described in Section 6;
  • evaluate listing quality, confirm marketplace activity, reduce duplicate or stale Listings, detect ghost listings, monitor lead quality, and prevent spam, fraud, or other misuse of the Service in violation of our Terms of Use;
  • analyze usage of the Service to understand trends, improve functionality, and develop new features; and
  • comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect the rights, property, and safety of VFR, our users, and the public.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information in the following circumstances:

3.1 Listings and Public Profiles

Information you include in a published Listing — such as the business name, location, asking price, description, and photographs — is publicly visible on the Service and may be indexed by search engines. The same is true of information you submit for a public Broker profile, Franchisor or brand page, vendor profile, advertisement, or other directory listing. Do not include information in public Listing or profile fields that you do not want publicly available.

3.2 Buyer Inquiries Are Shared with Sellers, Brokers, and Franchisors

When you submit an inquiry about a Listing, we share the information you provide in that inquiry (such as your name, email, phone number, and message) with the Seller, Broker, or Franchisor associated with that Listing, so they can respond to you. If you provide a phone number, that party (and VFR) may use it to call or text you regarding your inquiry, subject to applicable law and any consent language presented on the applicable form. Once shared, the recipient’s own use of that information is subject to our Terms of Use and applicable law, not this Policy. We encourage you to review how a Broker, Seller, or Franchisor you contact handles your information.

3.3 Vendors, Financing Companies, and Other Independent Third Parties

If you submit an inquiry, request information, complete a form, or otherwise ask to be connected with a financing company, lender, attorney, accountant, insurance provider, franchise consultant, due diligence provider, advertiser, sponsor, or other third-party service provider through the Service, we may share the information you provide with that third party so they can respond to your request. These third parties act independently of VFR, are responsible for their own privacy practices, and their use of your information may be governed by their own privacy policies and agreements rather than this Policy.

3.4 Service Providers (Acting on Our Behalf)

We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf and process information under our instructions, including website hosting, database and application infrastructure, user authentication, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, advertising measurement, and customer support tools. These providers are authorized to use your information only as needed to provide their services to us, and not for their own independent marketing purposes.

This is different from the independent third parties described in Section 3.3 above (such as Sellers, Brokers, Franchisors, lenders, or vendors you choose to contact): those parties receive your information to respond to you directly and determine their own use of it, rather than processing it solely on our behalf.

3.5 Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to: comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; enforce our Terms of Use or this Policy; detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, ghost listings, or security issues; or protect the rights, property, or safety of VFR, our users, or the public.

3.6 Business Transfers

If VFR is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you (for example, via the Service or email) of any change in ownership or use of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have.

3.7 Aggregated and De-Identified Information

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you — for example, statistics about overall Listing activity or Site traffic — without restriction.

3.8 With Your Consent

We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.

4. Payment Processing

Payments made through the Service are handled by a third-party payment processor. When you make a payment, your card and billing details are submitted directly to that processor, which collects, stores, and processes that information under its own privacy policy and security standards (which may include PCI-DSS compliance). We receive limited information back from our processor, such as confirmation of payment, the last four digits of your payment method, and billing-related metadata, which we use for invoicing, recordkeeping, and customer support. We do not control, and are not responsible for, our payment processor’s own data practices; we encourage you to review its privacy policy.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

5.1 Categories of Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser. We and our service providers and advertising partners use the following categories:

  • Essential Cookies: required for the Service to function, such as keeping you logged in and remembering your Account session.
  • Functional Cookies: remember preferences, such as saved searches or display settings, to improve your experience.
  • Analytics Cookies: help us understand how the Service is used (e.g., which pages are viewed, how long, and from where) so we can improve it.
  • Advertising and Retargeting Cookies: described in Section 5.2 below.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you disable cookies, some features of the Service (such as staying logged in) may not work properly.

We may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) that use their own cookies to collect information about your use of the Service over time. These providers’ use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

5.2 Advertising and Retargeting Technologies

We and our advertising partners may use cookies, pixels, tags, server-side event tracking, hashed identifiers, and similar technologies to measure advertising performance, understand how users interact with our ads, prevent duplicate reporting, create retargeting audiences, and deliver or measure ads on third-party platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or similar advertising networks. These technologies may collect or receive information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral source, Listing views, inquiry events, form submission events, and other usage information. Where required by law, we will provide applicable opt-out choices for targeted advertising, sale, or sharing of personal information, as described in Section 7.

5.3 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting; because there is no consistent industry standard for how to interpret that signal, we do not currently respond to it. Where required by applicable law, we will recognize and process legally required browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, in a manner appropriate for the Service and our technology.

6. Your Choices

  • Account Information: you may review, update, or correct your Account information at any time by logging into your Account, or by contacting us at info@verifiedfranchiseresales.com.
  • Listings: you may edit or remove your own Listings through your Account, subject to the Listing lifecycle terms in our Terms of Use.
  • Marketing Communications: you may opt out of promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails or by contacting us. If you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you non-promotional messages, including account notices, billing notices, security alerts, Listing-related communications, inquiry notifications, legal updates, and other service-related communications.
  • Phone Calls and Text Messages: if you provided a phone number in connection with an inquiry or Account, you may ask to stop receiving calls or texts from VFR by contacting us at info@verifiedfranchiseresales.com; requests to stop communications from a Seller, Broker, Franchisor, or vendor you contacted directly should be directed to that party.
  • Cookies: you may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, and, where applicable, through the cookie or privacy preference tool on the Service, as described in Section 5.
  • Account Deletion: you may request deletion of your Account by contacting us at info@verifiedfranchiseresales.com. We may retain certain information as described in Section 8 (Data Retention) or as required by law.

7. California and Other State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”), and comprehensive privacy laws in other states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Oregon, and Texas. Depending on your state of residence and our legal obligations, these rights may include:

  • Right to Know or Access: the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.
  • Right to Delete: the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (for example, information we need to complete a transaction, detect fraud, or comply with a legal obligation).
  • Right to Correct: the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Data Portability: the right to obtain a copy of certain personal information in a portable format, where required by law.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale, Sharing, or Targeted Advertising: VFR does not sell personal information for money. However, certain uses of advertising cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, or retargeting technologies described in Section 5 may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under some state privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged. Where required by applicable law, you may opt out of such sale, sharing, or targeted advertising by visiting our “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link (where available on the Service), adjusting your cookie preferences as described in Section 5, or contacting us at info@verifiedfranchiseresales.com.
  • Right to Opt Out of Profiling: the right to opt out of certain automated profiling used for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, where applicable.
  • Right to Appeal: the right to appeal a denied privacy request, where required by applicable state law.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level or quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@verifiedfranchiseresales.com or [Mailing Address]. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, which may require you to provide additional information. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to our ability to verify that authorization.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes such as maintaining accurate business records. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we will delete or de-identify it, or, where that is not reasonably feasible, securely isolate it from further use until deletion is possible. Examples of how retention periods vary by category include:

  • Account information: retained while your Account is active and for a reasonable period after closure.
  • Listing information: retained while a Listing is active and, where applicable, as an archived, inactive, or “sold” record as described in our Terms of Use.
  • Inquiry and lead information: retained for business records, fraud and ghost-listing prevention, customer support, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Billing records: retained as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.
  • Analytics and advertising cookie data: retained according to our settings and the practices of our analytics and advertising providers, as described in Section 5.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@verifiedfranchiseresales.com and we will take steps to delete that information.

10. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security, and any information you transmit to us is at your own risk.

If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will take steps to evaluate and respond to the incident and will notify affected users, regulators, or other parties where required by applicable law.

11. International Users

The Service is operated from, and intended for, users located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, storage, and processing.

12. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, including those of Brokers, Franchisors, lenders, or other service providers. This Policy does not apply to those third-party sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site before providing your information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on the Service with an updated “Last Revised” date, and where appropriate, communicated to you directly (such as by email). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
